Black Jacket Symphony co-founder J. Willoughby is excited to share a new forum for all things music and its orbit–from interactive opinions, facts, and history about some of the greatest musical works of the 20th century to unknown and interesting factoids about all things music. Willoughby has a passion for music and its history that is unparalleled and he looks forward to sharing it with readers from across the globe through the new Black Jacket Blog. “Being a student of rock and roll music since I was in diapers, I have an abundance of knowledge and information about music and the history of artists and albums that I grew up listening to in the sixties, seventies, eighties and beyond. This blog is intended to be a forum for other music fans to be able to share this passion…to come read about your favorite songs or bands and then talk about them with other readers who share the same excitement for some of the greatest music ever created.”

I’ve been to most of the BJS shows and I am in love with the concept behind it. It is an amazing group of musicians with an incredible range of talent. My only suggestion: Take this act on the road! I live and work in Tuscaloosa and know this type of entertainment would do very well in a college town this size. We just built a new ampitheatre by the Black Warrior River and how awesome would it be to see BJS playing Pink Floyd, The Eagles and especially Sgt. Peppers at this venue? BJS sells out WorkPlay every time!!!! I’ve learned to get my tickets early. Wherever the BJS plays, I’ll come. Mark the drummer, Jay the bass player, Buck Johnson, Jay Willoughby and Allen Barlow…..those are just a few of the many names……damn fellas, keep up the great work. Yall make “date night” with my wife an incredible evening.
